Richard Marks is an award-winning photographer, and owner of Aloha’ia Wedding Photography and Richard Marks Photo. He added photographing weddings to his photography repertoire in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1992 when he was invited to collaborate photographing a wedding in Sonoma County with his friend and fellow Getty photographer, Trinette Reed. Richard has been photographing weddings in Maui since his move there in 2001. His photographs are distributed worldwide by Getty Images and Blend Images and have been published world wide in magazines and on CD, DVD, websites, book covers and major ad campaigns.
Richard loves shooting weddings and prides himself in building warm and friendly relationships with his clients (he also receives great joy in giving surprise gifts to his clients in the spirit of aloha whenever possible). This creates a genuine rapport that allows him to capture clients images with great artistry, joy, and sensitivity.
Dedicated to creating the highest possible quality images, Richard shoots with the industry-leading 21.1 Megapixlel Canon 5D Mark II with the best Canon prime and zoom lenses and flash units. He uses cutting-edge post production tools for state of the art image processing, color perfecting and retouching.
